Day 01

A Delair Travel tour guide will await your arrival at the Colombo International Airport (Flight at your own arrangement). Depending on your time of arrival, enjoy a Colombo City Tour. Colombo is a cosmopolitan city buzzing with lights, glamour, a splendor of culinary treats to indulge in and a steep cultural heritage like no other. Day 02

After breakfast checkout from your hotel and travel to Singharaja Rain forest for the trekking tour. On arrival to the region you will check in to your jungle retreat and then proceed to explore the mesmerizing Singharaja Forest. Sinharaja Rainforest is an 18,899 hectare region of virgin rain forest and is a UNESCO world heritage. Today sadly this is the largest remaining rainforest reserve in Sri Lanka. Visitors can trek through this refreshing tropical lowland rainforest and expect to discover over 147 recoded bird species. The best time to visit the Sinharaja Forest Reserve is from August to September and January to March. Overnight stay closer to the forest. Optional – Tour the gem mines and factories of Sri Lanka in Rathnapura. Rathnapura City is the closest main town to the Sinharaja Rainforest and is the gem Capital of Sri Lanka. All of Sri Lanka’s precious rubies & Ceylon blue Saffirs and other semi-precious gem stone are found here. Optional 2 – Climb Adam’s peak. Adam’s Peak Mountain is also a stone’s throw away from the Sinharaja forest. With an additional nights extension to the tour in the region you can trek up the renowned pilgrim mountain in the night to witness a stunning sunrise over the island at dawn. This is a truly breath taking sight and words cannot describe the beauty that unfolds a top this holy mountain.

Day 03

Early morning (approx 5.00 am) travel to Galle to catch the Navy vessel for a Whale Watching Tour in the South coast of Sri Lanka. This is a 5 hour excursion and more details of the cruise will be given upon booking. Thereafter travel we will travel to the Hill Capital Kandy. overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 04

After breakfast visit the ROYAL BOTANICAL GARDEN of Peradenya which was a pleasure garden of a Kandyan King of the 16th Century and later made in to a Botanical Garden during the British regime. This gardens; one of the best in Asia is a place of beauty and site for bird watchers. It is bounded on three sides by the Mahaweli River, which snakes around the 60-hectare gardens. Peradeniya is the second largest botanical garden in Asia. It has an orchid house which botanists should visit. In 1905 an avenue of palms were planted and is now one of the most photographed places in the gardens. The oldest tree here is a 150 year old double coconut tree. The Giant Fig tree on the Great Lawn is another notable tree. During World War II, it served as a base for Lord Mountebatten. Today it is a popular haunt for day trippers, botanists and birdwatchers. KANDY CITY - Today Kandy is not only the second largest city in the island but is one of the most important cities owing to the presence of the Temple of the Sacred tooth of the Buddha. The ancient walk ways and alley are a great way to discover this hill country station and the breathtaking lake in the heart of Kandy city adds to its romantic reputation. The tour will take you to the Temple of the ‘Tooth Relic’, a magnificent golden roofed temple, Kandy Museum, Market Place and Gem & Jewelry Museum. Later, enjoy a Traditional Cultural Dance Show. Day 05

After breakfast leave to Colombo International Airport for your onward journey. En-route visit the Elephant Orphanage. PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANGE was initially established in 1972 and was relocated to its present site in 1975. Situated en route to Kandy, is built on an extent of 25-acres, on an old coconut plantation on the banks of the Maha Oya river. The orphanage was initially created to house the many orphaned elephants that are found in the wild, as young elephants left alone in the jungle without the proper care and survival skills invariably die. This orphanage is now home to more than 84 elephants with the number increasing regularly. Thereafter proceed to the Airport for your Departure (Departure flight should be scheduled for the evening) Your tour with Del air Travels in Sri Lanka ends here.
